Fortress, by local author Marci Lin Melvin
The new version of Fortress, a wonderfully written historical romance, is sure to win the hearts and curiosity of readers! Revised, Fortress now goes deep into historical details of the mid-eighteenth century and the experiences of life at Fortress of Louisburg. Fortress is the first of a trilogy of novels richly steeped in the history of Nova Scotia. With its original release in 2005, Fortress raised $3,500 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Atlantic Region! Once again, Marci has generously pledged all proceeds from the reissue of Fortress to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Atlantic Region.
